Santa María del Mar

It's model of the churches of the catalonian gothic, characterized by its many horizontal lines and its huge denude surfaces.

It also has solid buttresses, without flying butresses and a couple of octagonal towers ended by terraces.

The interior of Santa María del Mar is probably the most beautiful in Barcelona. Financed by the burgueoises of the city, it's style is clearly unified, which remarks its spirituality.

The church has exceptional acoustic conditions, which make it a usual space for concerts.

During the Civil War the choir was burnt, therefore you can watch the whole space from the entrance - on the contrary to most temples in Spain.
