Tibidabo

Tibidabo, sited 500 meters over the sea level, is a relaxing zone that counts with an amusing park from the early 20th-century.
It's the eldest amusement park in Spain and one of the most antique in Europe.

A blue tramcar and the funicular were elements that made even more attractive the ascending to the leisure centre in the early 20th-century, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the whole city.

In the late 19th-century, the Salesianos was offered, a plot of land to construct a church dedicated to the Sacred Heart. Begun in 1902, it's a neogothic building crowned by a statue. It's a shame that the building is not at the artistic height of the architecture in Barcelona in those days.

Nearby this zone we find the Collserola tower, dedicated to telecommunications, designed by Norman Foster for the Olympic Games. It's the highest building in the city, Catalonia's communiation centre. From it you'll enjoy, as from other places mentioned above, a marvellous view of the city.
