Since the 6th-century this palace is seat of the princes and kings of the region. It's base is romanesque, but it has different elements of posterior attachments.
There are diverse sites to be commented. Through a grandiose gate you'll enter the first yard, from the 18th-century. In front you'll see the Matthias door, baroque, from where a staircase guides you to the presidential dependencies.
The Malá Strana quarter is sited between the Castle and the river. Houses of notable interest, lofty streets and baroque palaces give the area a special atmosphere.
Crossroads, medieval marketplace and first core of the city. Prague's market is sited here since the Middle Age, and political activity took place here too.
In Prague's modern area, nearby the 'Old Town', the luxurious Wenceslas square outstands among other sites. In the Middle Age it was a cattle market, today it's a business and hostelry centre.
