Royal Palace

Since the 6th-century this palace is seat of the princes and kings of the region. It's base is romanesque, but it has different elements of posterior attachments.
The origin of the famous Thirty Years War is here, due to the deffenestration of some catholic governors of the Hapsburg dinasty by the protestants, in 1618, beginning a savage conflict that asolated Central Europe.

The Vladislav Hall, of gothic style, is the most spectacular within the palace, where jousting competitions took place. You'll get to the Hall through a grandiose gothic staircase. It's 63 metre-long and 16 metre-wide, and has a notable vault.

Other dependencies within the palace are the Ball Game Hall, the medieval parliament and the All Saint's Chapel, gothic, but later reformed with renaissancist and baroque elements after a fire in the 16th-century.
