The Town Hall

The building, of gothic style, is seat of the city's administration since the 14th-century.
The famous clock in the old Town Hall. Czech Tourist Authority.

The set holds a few houses. The area around the tower, crowned by a beautiful spire and from where you have a magnificent view over the city, is the most antique. The tower is 70 metre high.

This part of the building has a nice chapel, with a delicate, recently restored, roofing. Also from the 14th-century.

The Astronomical Clock can be admired outside the building. It's from the 15th-century and has a mechanical system and zodiac paintings. It's a typical picture in the city.

Beside the gothic part there is an heterogeneous area, a few houses attached to the local administration seat furhter on. It's basically renaissancist and is well conserved after the restorations due to the damage caused by WWII.
